Daemon Netrunning
Adds daemon versions of Cyberpsychosis, Suicide, System Reset, and Detonate Grenade. Customizable.
This mod does a few things:
Equipping an Ultimate quickhack unlocks a daemon version of that quickhack. Retains the initial quickhack ability as well. And daemons are the things you do in breach protocol, ie, they apply to every enemy in a network.
Allows customization of complexity and probability to trigger for these quickhacks. Complexity is the length of the sequences you need to enter in breach protocol to make the daemon trigger. Probability is the chance of that daemon triggering. This is done in the CET section of the files with the variables at the top like Cyberpsychosis_Complexity.
Uncaps complexity. Previously was capped at 5 things to enter. Now it’s capped at the length of your buffer. This probably won’t affect other daemon’s as they were usually all less than 5 anyways.
Recommendations:
If you’re looking for the mod to just be kind of fun and op, then lower the complexity below 100, and set the probability above 0.5.
If you want the mod to be somewhat balanced but maybe a little strong, set the complexity to 130-180, and the probability to 0.5
If you’re hardcore and don’t want something exploitable, set the complexity to 200 and the probability to 0.35. This will make it primarily useful against very large groups of enemies, but a waste of time against smaller groups.
I’m thinking about making this mod into a sort of larger overhaul with most hacking being more daemon-oriented, kind of like what was shown in the E3 demo. But for now I’d like feedback on what you think of this.
No known incompatibilities so far.
