AOR Music for Pacific Dreams Station
Replaces all of the songs on the Pacific Dreams Radio Station with AOR/Melodic Rock music.
My first Cyberpunk mod that I hope I can iterate on in the future. I love AOR (Album-Oriented Rock) music, it sets a nice tone for real world night driving on highways and through cities, so I chose to replace the Pacific Dreams tracks for a variety of songs from the genre that could fit into the atmosphere of the game’s setting, at least from the perspective of someone who has always viewed Cyberpunk to be “future 1980s.”
Certain song volumes might be higher or lower than normal, some of them were sourced from tapes, records, or old CDs (not all of which were my own) because they might be out of print or very rare. The only non-AOR song is “Burn” by The Cure because trying to find an AOR song 6:31 long that isn’t a drawn out love ballad is a pain in the ass.
This was a 4 day slog of trying to find the songs I wanted that could fit within the default play times because I am not skilled or smart enough to attempt that ridiculous process of trying to change the song durations. Editing music files is within my wheelhouse however so I did condense or truncate a few of them to fit as well (kind of like real radio edits). If anyone figures out or knows an easier method of changing song durations, please leave a comment.
