Enemy half HP
What does this do?
It reduces all enemies HP by half of their default values when playing on Very Hard difficulty. Enemy faction and level doesn’t matter.
What is it?
It’s simply the equivalent of an “.ini edit” only I had to extract a game file to make an archive that gets loaded and it changes *Only* the specific values related to enemies HP and the increases gained from their levels. There isn’t anything about this mod that’s “me or mine”, no assets or art or anything. It’s just editing numbers and making a mod file archive to get loaded.
Why?
Even with mods that do a wonderful job of fixing armor, weapon and projectile numbers, all these bug fixes, I found I would get pinned and could be killed in 2 or 3 shots, and I would have to shoot enemies an unrealistic amount to kill them.
How’s the gameplay?</strong
With this mod most enemies die in a quick burst. What's nice is while it's a flat rate, specifics to enemies still hold. There will be a highly armored enemy that takes a few more shots to take down than a regular shirtless gonk. It felt like before everyone took half of a magazine, now bullets are dangerous and if someone survives a burst you know they're highly armored/serious. Get to cover for that reload. It feels a bit more balanced and realistic to me, more like a shooter game than an RPG or MMO.
How to install/uninstall?
Just put the .archive file in “Path-to-game\archive\pc\mod” like any other archive mod. There aren’t any dependencies or anything. To uninstall, just delete. Works on a current save, wont mess up a current save, nothing. It’s plug and play, delete it and the base game numbers take its place.
Compatible with stuff?
So, I play with nearly 20-30 mods or so and I haven’t noticed anything incompatible. Every mod I have running works just fine and all play together nicely. If you notice anything, let me and others know. Thank you.
