Nomadcore Clothing Swaps

Nothin’ fancy, does what it says on the tin. Most items will clip a little in some poses or with certain other equipment. I’m brand new to modding so unfortunately I can’t take requests for mesh edits, color changes, etc. The items I chose to replace are mostly things I hadn’t seen commonly used as replacement fodder, to avoid conflicts within my VAST wardrobe of other people’s mods. Likewise, I tried to avoid repeating clothes that have already been modded elsewhere. Happy to take stuff down if I’m stepping on anyone’s toes; this is just a bunch of items I wanted to use in game and thought others might like to as well. Enjoy!

THE CLOTHES
Aviators Up, Goggles Down: Wear your aviators on your head or your goggles around your neck! Because eye protection is important, but so is fashion. Replaces all goggles and/or aviators with their usual model but in a different location on V’s face, so colors will depend on which item you equip.

Belt: Just a simple black leather waist belt. Replaces the Aramid Collar. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Vest_12_basic_01”, 1)

Blue Moon Shorts: Replaces shinos/stoop-king pants with Blue Moon’s high-waisted shorts. Because sometimes it’s too hot out there for real pants. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Pants_10_basic_01”, 1)

Bodysuit: A light-blue sweater-knit bodysuit with long sleeves and hi-cut legs. Outer torso version replaces the weird baggy bodysuit available to players, inner torso version replaces turtlenecks. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Jacket_16_basic_01”, 1) or Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Shirt_02_basic_01”, 1)

Buckle Boots: Thick, sturdy calf boots with big buckles on the sides. Replaces cowboy boots. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Boots_10_basic_01”, 1)

Fiddler Cap: Replaces the “guard”-style cap (the one with the attached headset) with a mariner/fiddler cap. Color & material will depend on the item replaced; the Arasaka one “Items.Cap_04_old_02” is shiny black leather while the Trauma Team version “Items.Cap_04_basic_01” is green camo print. There may be others but those are the only two I had on hand to test.

Gloves & Elbow Pads: Black fingerless motorcycle gloves & elbow pads. Safety first! Replaces the hi-vis/utility vest. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Vest_11_basic_01”, 1)

Jeans: Look, sometimes you just need a pair of old, comfy low-rise jeans. Replaces all suit pants, but you’re a nomad; where were you gonna wear those, anyway? Not a lot of board meetings out in the Badlands. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.FormalPants_01_basic_02”, 1)

Knotted Headscarf: Replaces all baseball caps with an orange-and-black striped headscarf. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Cap_01_basic_02”, 1)

Moto Goggles: Replaces the chunky techgogs with sleeker moto goggles. Most will be silver regardless of the original item’s color, but the pink ones “Items.Visor_02_basic_03” will have bright pink plastic rims.

Sneakers: Blue hi-top kicks, no laces. Replaces steel-toes/Wilson boots. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Boots_07_old_01”, 1)

Spike Sole Boots: Black ankle boots with little spikes around the sole. Not particularly nomad-themed, but still cute! Replaces the military/biker/tactical boots. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Boots_03_basic_01”, 1)

Tied Jumpsuit: A dark red-and-blue baggy jumpsuit with the arms tied around the waist. Matches the Aldecaldos jacket from the Star ending, though you can’t wear them together since I used an outer torso item as the replacer. Wanted to use pants, but it needed two mesh slots and only the racing pants (VERY commonly used by others’ mods) have that. So it replaces the bulletproof vest you loot from Oda instead. Game.AddToInventory(“Items.Vest_01_basic_02”, 1)
