Skylab New York-Neo-Tokyo Reshade
This is a Reshade mod. It gives the game a more realistic look by rendering better lights, DOF, and color grading.
I wanted to bring a more realistic feel to the world of Cyberpunk. This mod affects the following:
-Better DOF
I didn’t like how the buildings in Cyberpunk were always so sharp, even from a distance. This mod gives the city a sense of depth with better DOF. Now buildings will really look like they are in the distance.
-Better Sun/Object Glare
There should be more glare from the buildings, and concrete when the sun hits these objects. This also affects your character’s eyes when walking from a dark/dimly lit area into a brighter area. Sunrise, mid-day, and sunsets are all now more realistic.
-Better Neon Lights
The neon lights are more vibrant and help make Night City feel more alive.
-Color Grading
The game by default has a dark tone to it. I added my own color values to bring a realistic/manga (Akira) style to the game. Have a look at the before and after images.
-Distance Fog/Haze
This gives the city a haze from all the light sources in Night City. It can be seen in both day and night cycles. The world of Cyberpunk should have a noticeable haze from all the heat, pollution, glass, water, and concrete in the game world. This makes that effect more pronounced.
It’s recommended that you turn off “Depth of Field” in the game options as this mod has its own version. If you like, you can also toggle the “Lens Flare” option on/off in the game settings. I played with it “on” for added effect. You might notice a slight drop in FPS when using this mod, but nothing major.
